Did they have kill switches in the late 70s? And if they did would it affect the starter motor?
Yes my 1977 Merc has one. But remember the motor in question was converted to electric start aftermarket. Might not have a kill switch.
I would check fuse, ground, switch, starter.

Wife gave me the go ahead to rip up 80’s carpet on stairs.
I’m a handy guy and do most home renovations so hoping to do “economically” myself. I consider myself a intermediate “woodworker” but hoping others here maybe in the trade had suggestions.
I want to stay under $3000 and thinking the Luxury Vinyl Planks may keep the price down. The material looks bendable for custom noses saving a ton of money also. Im retired and if it takes a month then so be it...no rush.
I have 2 major concerns that no “easy to do youtube videos” show:
1) Damn rails that basically have to save. The winding stairs are open so end cuts seen.
2) Big curve landing step.
I have a router table etc. and all the tools, if anyone has taken this on and has tips I’d appreciate feedback, thanks.
How did it come out? Did you carpet the steps?

It's hard to believe my favorite movie of all time was released 50 years ago. "The Godfather" starring Marlon Brando and Al Pacino. I had worked in a small fastfood restaurant run by two Italian brothers. One of them was really interested in the Mafia and couldn't wait for the release of the movie. He talked it up and I ended up going to see it with one of my co-workers, a nice. pretty, redhead. But the movie was great too. Intrigue, parts that made you cringe. Parts that made you laugh. For you, younger people watch the unedited version on DVD. Great Film!
Little known fact - the horse head was real not a prop....They got it from a dog food factory in New Jersey.
Second favorite is probably "Animal House". More recent might be a John Wick or Die Hard. Maybe an Indiana Jones...
What is on your list of favorite movies?

Do you still have that projector? My brother gave me for Xmas, 3 of those movie reels with film similar to what you have stacked up. I am going to use them to decorate the man cave.

I’d love to have a peek in that basement. Well stocked. Any chance you’ve got a crate of spare Slopmaster spinnerbaits? Caught my first musky on one; will forever hold a special place in my heart.
Funny you should ask..... I do have a box full. What style/ color are you looking for? I'll take a photo or two tomorrow. Ever come to Cleveland? If the border gets back to normal, I may be able to send some back with one of my cousins in Toronto or Barrie.

It's a shame so many have sold out. But you cant' blame them when they have a chance to make some big $$$. Running that business is probably not as lucrative as we would think.
For some giggles look at the prices for these rentals. Whoever is renting them has some serious coin....What's $5,000- $15,000 a week. YIKES

Where are you located? I'm pretty sure I have a bunch unused in my basement. I'll check and post some photos. You can make an offer if you wish. Cheaper than $51.............

I just replaced 3 bathroom fixtures with those type. Mine came with a built in glass lens/shade. I think it has a better seal in wet applications like in a bathroom or shower. Halo E26 Series 6 in.
