  1. There is some good pike fishing there Lots of eye's if you know what your doing and SM are everywhere. My friend owned it years ago but it has since switched owners from what TJ has said the new owners are great.

As for having to go far for fish you don't even have to leave the "creek" that they are one its about 2 miles from the Montreal river but it big and there are tons of fish in it I had always thought it was the river its self until Gary told me different.

You can fish from the docks and get pike, bass I don't remember if the eye's stayed there all summer or not but in the spring you can get them from the docks also.

For eye's a jig and chub was all it took If you go there I can give you some detailed spots that were always good for me.

  2. Heck about 8 years or so ago they were on clearance at WM for about 50 cents I bought them all 10-20 packs they did turn the worms green but I did not see any difference in catching walleye. I did sell them for $1 per pack years later at a yard sale so it was not a loss LOL

  3. From what I have been told first hand by our local CO's is if you pay the fine they will return the equipment I had tried to buy the lures from some of the 6 or 8 rods they had in the boat one day they laughed and said that would go over good when the owner paid the fine and found the $30 lures were gone.

  4. Dang I am glad to here everything worked out for you out there. I hope that others can take from all the stories here and go with there gut feeling and do what it tells ya. You had that idea of hitting shore and she was there telling you that your gut was right.

I know I will be thinking about that if I am on the water and have the storm come up just head to the first dock that is open and take shelter.

Like someone also asked did ya catch any fish???

  5. Welcome aboard Dev That Chris K guys hes alright.

Maybe if ya can get him down here the three of us can get out on LSC for some musky this year.

Keep up the work with the flies that is how I started I was about the same age it was a blast.

  6. Are they regular Colorado blades? What size blades also? Are they stopping after they start to spin or just hard to get started?

I know that some larger regular Colorado blades will need a pump to get them going or start to crank as soon as they hit the water that will in most cases fix your problem.
