I wouldn't fuss with a tent, been there before and it was ugly. Keep your 6-inch auger for this year buy yourself a portable hut you will really appreciate it. Then next year treat yourself to a 10-inch gas auger! A combination of the two and you won't want to fish out of a boat again!!

Nice to hear everyone is catching fish. I am new to the board I am heading out to BOQ tomorrow for the first time. Never fished there on open water before. We were hopeing to fish the mouth of Hay Bay but are not sure where launching is possible. We are coming from the west(Port Hope area). Any help would be greatly apreciated.
