My father and grandfather built a summer home on Axe Lake Road, which sat on about 1,000 Acres of property which ran along the East side of Axe Lake Road from near Rte 518, all the way down to the Four Corners, which is near Axe Lake, if you're familiar with where I'm talking about. The house was built in 1957-58, and I spent time there every summer until 1970 when she sold the house and property to my dismay. Axe Lake is a long road, but maybe you were raised in the same place. Do the names, Holderney or Tippelt, sound familiar? I was only 12 when she sold the property, but I have a lot of great memories from the summers spent there. My grandmother was a Tippelt, and knew loads of people in the area, so maybe your parents knew her.
