  1. I know I'm late to this thread , it's been a few years since I've been on this site, forgot how much I enjoyed it, I'll make it a habit again.

BANANAS will bring the fish into a frenzy like chumming, I've snorkelled in the Caribbean numerous times and for whatever reason they go...wait for it....bananas for them. Have a a line in and use bananas for chum, fish up to 5 lbs will come in, hook a smaller one and toss it out for a Cuda.

  2. Big smallies in Georgian, as per my avatar. I'm heading to the exact area you are thinking about camping on Sunday and just came back from there 2 weeks ago. Another spot you should try is called Gin Islands, you could spend a whole day fishing them, they are close to GB provincial park. Send a pm (private message) and I will give you more details on lures and areas. Cheers

  3. I wish people would keep more carp. Whether they eat them or not I could care a less. Just get them out of my bass water!

Agreed! You couldn't pay me to eat a carp! The type of water and areas they come from and all that bottom feeding, not to mention the age of the fish, gross. I could make skunk taste good if I rolled it fish fry and sunk it in pot of oil, doesn't make it good or good for you.

  4. I keep seeing these reels in a package at Canadian Tire or Walmart. Are these reels any good? I heard that they can't compete with reels made by Daiwa or Shimano. The one I saw is a Quantum Snapshot. Also, it has a clip near the bail arm (some reels have it, some don't). What the heck is the purpose of that clip near the bail arm? I always get my lines tangled because of that thing.

Oh, and another thing, is it taboo among serious anglers to buy inexpensive packaged fishing reels at these stores?

Don't bother, I bought two of those from Canadian for my nephews, junk! If you are going to buy from there stick to a low end Shimano

  5. Doesnt Kaberle have a no trade clause in his contract?? The only way he gets shipped at the deadline is if he wants to leave, which is something that he doesnt want to do unles maybe he wanted to play for a play off bound team. Burke probably didn`t trade him because nobody offered him two first round picks for him LOL. Trading 3 picks (2 first rounders) for a player coming of a shoulder surgery was just stupid. Every time he takes a hit I bet every leafs fan cringe and dies a little. "Playoffs?! Don't talk about playoffs! Are you kidding me? Playoffs?! in Jim Mora`s voice hahah

and Marko is the winner :clapping: he will only go to a handful, if that, of teams he wants play for come the deadline, but go he will because it would be cheap insurance for a team that might go deep in the playoffs and that team will cough up more than he's worth in draft picks....and so it has been said here first

  6. op, do you have a weight on this and are just testing our perception, or are you looking for an estimate because you aren't sure?

For reference I thought this one was easily 5 lbs when I caught it but weighed in just shy...

I'm 5' 10" and not holding it out all that far (I know it looks it).

Just curious about people's perception, 4 plus 2 was mine

Let's talk size. We all know American's exagerate the size of the bass they catch on some of the WFN shows and of course haven't we all about the one that got away. I just want to see what your perception of weight is of a commonly caught fish like a largemouth. How much?

  9. This is the view from the driver's seat.

It's all you could ever ask for and then some.

I'll put some more detailed ones up once I get it out again.

Needless to say I was just a little too preoccupied when I had it out the first time!!

    Stay tuned!
