  1. I think you would have better luck at Dennys Dam sbut with the water rushing below the dam I would suggust you fish from shore. The water level from Walkerton is down so I think canoeing would be a little difficult. Anyway good luck.

  2. Hello all, would like to get some advice on a issue I have come across this summer. I have a 176 Princecraft and the bow area where my trolling motor would mount to has become soft and fungus growing out of the carpet. I know I need to replace the wood and was wondering how thick should I go and where to pick up carpet that matches the rest of the boat... which happens to be burgandy.

    Thanks

  3. If it was a long bodied animal,it could actually have been a fisher. In most cases they are black from the shoulder down and have a long body. They are many found in the area where you were,I have a cottage near the Soo and have seen manyof them in the early morning.

    Just a hunch :Gonefishing:

  4. Good Morning All, I have a little issue on my hands and wonder if any words of advise could be had. I have a 2002 176 Prince Craft, the issue I have is main cranking battery terminals have poor contact due to heavy oxidiation on the Red motor wire. At times I have to use a wire brush to get the green crud off the terminal. The differance between the red and black terminals is the black seems to be steel or aluminum and the red is copper. Any words of advise would be welcome.

    Thanks

  5. I have fished the French for over 11 years and have had some good days and some bad days, lots of water to fish always had good luck at the pump house channel right beside Crane's. As for your trolling motor I too have a hell of a hard time releasing it to put in the water,I have grease the shaft which has helped but I am not sure as to why the motor doesn't go down easy. I have a 55lbs Minn Kota. I hope this helps .

  8. Hi we and I mean my wife and I have had great luck using a Rapala crawdad SR5 in 14 to 18 feet of water and using the same but a SR7 in water 2o plus deep of course using your finder will deterim what depth they are at. Fished the east side from Picton launch passed McFarland park and had good luck. Try the same just north near the bouys.

    Good luck and play safe

  9. John, after renting cottages every year we decided to buy a cottage we did look in southern ont but way too much money. We did vacation in the Algoma area and loved it. We looked up there and bought one, 3/4 of a acre and a 2 bd cottage 105 ft water frontage it listed for 79K and I could not imaging having something like this but it is ours.

Mind you driving 7 hours north is the negitive but when your up around that area it is unbeliveable and depending on where you buy it could be in a unorginized township which means your taxes reflect what you get in way or services,No building permits needed in a unorignzied township either.

We pay a huge $32.40 a year for property taxes yes 32 bucks!!!

Anyway if that is your cup a tea travelling that far north check out the MLS listings and even goggle cottages for sale in ontario a ton of sites will pop up. I will see if I can attach a few photos of ours as a example.

    Happy hunting
