The authorities need to meet people halfway on this one. Let's face it, the only reason why you are required to carry any sort of license with you is because it makes the officer's job easier. So here's what they should do: issue the ticket; but if you can produce the license (fishing, driving, whatever) within a set period of time, maybe two business days, it will be rescinded. Otherwise it's little more than a cash grab. If I go out in my car but leave my wallet at home, does it mean I become an unsafe driver because that little piece of plastic isn't with me? Heck, if I realise it isn't with me when I'm a hundred kilometers from home, I'll probably be a safer driver until I get back!

a CO can't fine you for beer + fishing. But he can fine you for Beer + ATV/snowmobile

Really? I thought as long as they think you are fishing (judging by seeing you with all the gear) they can searching all your stuff including boat and car.

If anything, it's people who don't speak English that will understand this clearly. For us folks who speak English well and have taken grammar classes, the wording is confusing!

i wouldn't pick on or hassle the employee making the calls. They're just doing their job to put food on their table. Pretty sure those are minimum wage jobs too.

try dave's fish huts. They operate more than a dozen huts and I doubt they're all filled at any given time. They charge $45 per person. That easily covers the ride out and a bucket of minnows. They really chills so I think it shouldn't be a problem if you want to go solo.

I love the "respect" talk. Even when I play in my crappy men's league there is no respect for other players. Imagine these guys playing to make money for their careers... There will be no respect at all. It's every man for himself. To set themselves apart to make the money. Respect is worthless in sports. Not just professional sports, but leagues at all level. You want to play soft? Have your own friends gather and play a friendly game. When you play to win, hurting the other player is part of the game. Obviously no one wants to end anyone's career but to produce a big hit that Orpiks did is highly sought after.

It's the same question with why is there fighting in hockey? People don't understand that the fighting is there to control the tempo of the game. If players were allowed to make strong hits on other team's star players and being able to hide behind the refs, say good bye to skilled players. They will get rocked all game. People think there is no relation between fighting players and skilled players. Enforcers allow skilled player to play their game.

So yea, what Thorton did was try to defend his teammate because he is an enforcer. But doing what he did was crossing the line, and even he knew that. End of discussion.

Are there regulations where you can't keep too small a bass? I can't find it in the book. I know that would be too many bass/over limit.

it only says 90 charges, so it is possible that some people were charged with multiple offenses. i don't think it's 90/450 people getting charged. either way, i thought it would be more.
