Caught these lakers off the Niagara Bar . . drift fishign using a three way rig . .banigng the bottom with a deep diving rapala - silver & black. The wind came up & chased us away by 11, but these two fish made it all worthwhile.

Hi all, I'm heading to the Niagara River on Saturday - putting in at Queenston & then hoping to get out to the bar early before the winds drive me back into the river . . any news? Lakers hitting . . steelhead? I'm looking for any info Thanks guys

Thanks to all for the feedback . . I've heard lots of great things. Besides the Walleye, Pike & Brookies, I'd like to spend a bit of time dragging a 3 way rig on light line for lakers. Try & fish for the cycle. . . . . July seems a long way off. I'll be sure & post pix once I'm back.

Anyone ever been on Kag Lake? It's a fly-in lake north of Nakina . . supposed to be a good walleye / pike / laker lake. Booked to go there this July . . any local knowledge appreciated

I was there on Friday, and thought it was pretty good. Compared to the Toronto shows (pay for parking, traffic, bigger crowds), I liked the slightly scaled back version in London. Excellent selection of boats, and the tackle section was good too. Didn't really see any killer deals, but did pick up a new Quantum one piece rod. Itchin' to try it in spring . .

Hello fellow fishers, I'm looking ahead to a spring ice-out lake trout trip, and am hoping some of you might share your wisdom on where (approximately) you might recommned I go, and what time of year might be best? . . Somehwere 4 hrs or less from T.O preferred. I'll be trailering up my boat . . I'm a newbie to this forum - any feedback appreciated!! Can't wait until spring . .
