Good Morning to All !! I have lived on the Bog for the past eight years and Ice Fish pretty hard, but I have yet to nab a Crappie. Without being too specific ,and giving away a Honey Hole of your own, what general areas of the Lake should I be looking in and how should I be fishing them ie bait and lures? If anyone has any tips I'd appreciate. Tight lines !!

Hello to All, does anybody know the limit for Pickerel on Scugog this winter and if there is any slot limits yet? Please advise

try port perry marina, they are right in town near the public boat launch on the east side of water street. If you want to avoid the excessive weed growth, go north around the Island where the lake opens up wider. Good Fishing !

Hello there, I used to fish Eugenia Lake back in the 70's when there were Trout in the Lake. Does anyone know if they are still present in the Lake? All I remember cactching there were hundreds of damn Rock bass !!

Pulled the hut in today, no action for two weeks is ENOUGH !!!!!! Is anybody still getting 'em anywhere on The Bog and how the heck are ya doing it ??? I'm off to Simcoe.............

Hey Guys and Gals, I need your opinions on how the #$%@ I'm going to catch some Pickerel in Scugog before the end of the season. I've been having some luck since the hut went out on January 21st but mostly ones and twos for the past two weeks, and this weekend it was the big Skunk for three of us. The fish seem to only bite in the first hour after sunset, then nothing. I've tried fishing in the daytime and have always found it to be useless. Yet I see people all over the ice during the daytime, surely they must be catching the odd fish ? Currently we are in 5 to 6 fow over a mud flat with weeds nearby. Does anyone know where the fish move to at this time of year, as they seem to have vanished ? Any suggestions on bait, depth, time of day, jigging vs. a set line, lures or anything else you can think of would be greatly appreciated. Good luck and tight lines on the BOG !!
