Thanks!

I'm looking for a 7'6" Avid spinning rod. I've checked Fishing World, JB, Angling Specialties, Tightlines and Bass Pro for this rod. Any other St Croix dealers likely to carry it?

Congrats on poaching your new Large mouth PB...... hopefully it's nest wasn't cleared out while you were posing with your "PB"
A little too early for nests right now. They're currently in pre-spawn, feeding aggressively prior to the spawn. Nest-raiding begins in June.

Salmonds and pikes.

That's an awesome pic with the sturgeon. What kind of tackle did you land it with?

The tournament scene has been warned often of the dangers of fishing bass in deep water and stressing fish in mid-sumer. They are too concerned with purses and bragging rights to worry about fisheries and conservation.

Thanks, I've never caught smallies over about 2 lbs, and this one was heavy. I was guessing over 4 for sure, maybe 4.5. Pics coming soon...

At the bare minimum, you'll need a few spinnerbaits, a weedless frog, and some texas hooks and weights with some plastic worms/craws/grubs etc. Weedless bass jigs don't hurt either.

The report said he received minor wounds.
the swimmer or the fisherman?
lol

To you guys who weigh your fish often, I caught a smallie on the weekend that was 21" by 15". Any thoughts on the weight?

How'd she taste?

do they bite?
I think everything with fangs and a mouth bites.

Magnetic brakes are better for casting lighter baits than centrifugal brakes. Magnetic bakes will allow for a longer cast and less backlash when using less casting weight. I am positive magnetic brakes can be found on Daiwa reels, and I'm fairly certain that they can be found on Quantum reels. Shimano uses centrifugal brakes. This is probably the most important thing to consider when buying a baitcasting reel for light baits.

You will need to open Microsoft Outlook and change the email address it is associated with. I do not use Outlook, so I cannot provide the exact steps. As said above, look on the tool bar at the top for a menu called "Tools", and procede from there.

More R&D goes into developing a trout rod, since they need to be strong, sensitive, able to withstand freezing temps, able to handle light line, and let's not forget that steelhead snobs (not all steelheaders are snobs, I'm just saying) will pay anything for gear marketing toward them. Salmon rods are generally beef-sticks with lower-modulus graphite and possibly combined with fibreglass, not to mention foam handles versus the cork on trout rods.

Salmon are in some GTA rivers...

Agreed. Timmies cups and worm containers are the worst.

Who cares about the Olypmics.

I've caught a few hefty rock bass in the stream below the dam.

Pick up a map of the area and fish any bridge crossings between Caledonia and Elora. Not much else to tell ya. Get your feet wet 'n dirty.

Doesn't look too abnormal to me, just like a rotten fish with part of its lower jaw torn up and hanging down, could be its tongue with the teeth on it. Sound like Bull to me...
Burt
That was my first thought too. Almost all fish have a set of teeth of some sort on their tongue in the middle pf the mouth. This pic looks as if the softer skin in the middle of the lower jaw has separated or torn from the rest of the jaw.
