fishnsled Posted July 19, 2007 Report Posted July 19, 2007 Well just as my luck would have it, on the way into work this morning I blew the motor in the van. I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions/recommendations/ for a shop that will fix it in the downtown Toronto to Oshawa area? It's a 1995 Dodge Caravan with a 3.3. I just bought it off my grandfather for next to nothing and figure it's worth spending some money on it. He had the tranny rebuilt a couple of months ago, new exhaust, and the body work done on it last year. The van is mint. Well it was a couple of hours ago. Thanks for your help.
Headhunter Posted July 19, 2007 Report Posted July 19, 2007 Awe man that just sucks! I hope you it happened either close to home or work! Sorry to hear that Will... let me know where it is now and we'll put our heads together for ya! HH
fishnsled Posted July 19, 2007 Author Report Posted July 19, 2007 Thanks HH. Right now it's parked at work, downtown TO. Parliment and Richmond area.
fishboy Posted July 19, 2007 Report Posted July 19, 2007 Ouch-hope that doesn't put too much of a cramp in your plans.
fishnsled Posted July 19, 2007 Author Report Posted July 19, 2007 Ouch-hope that doesn't put too much of a cramp in your plans. I've still got the truck so towing the boat is not a problem. It's just the unexpected repair bill. When are they ever expected anyways??

lookinforwalleye Posted July 19, 2007 Report Posted July 19, 2007 If I owned a 12 year old mini van I know how much money I would but into it, 000000 Hit the local wrecker that`s probably your best option.
BUSTER Posted July 20, 2007 Report Posted July 20, 2007 3.3 is known for craping out, usually head cracks
Clampet Posted July 20, 2007 Report Posted July 20, 2007 Yer Dad knew what he was doing! If money's tight then fix it, if not, don't throw good money after bad.
