Here in Barrie,we had a light wind day and sun to get out on the tinny . Nothing but wind and rain since my last outing . Been waiting to get out to try a few new high hook baits I tied ,while hunting for some whities . Water temps are still cold, 54 deg,so just hoovered in the 40-20 fow range . Marked a few whities, but nothing taking . Lots of perch around ( no real size ) but, they were smashing the high hooks . That is all I really cared about . Knowing the baits were working . The fuzzy blood is more geared towards the ice season, but did take a few,but the mayfly larvae variant, was the out right winner this morning . They would just go up and snatch on .

Some guys just need to be right on ya .

I'm not a bit surprised Brian. One thing I have found, also with good results, is to present something different to the fish that they are not familiar with. I've found it works especially well in areas that have a lot of fishing pressure if any of that makes sense.
