Sight Fishing Crappie.

The year is shaping up to be messed up already.

Ice was only completely gone yesterday, but not a single crappie on the ice spots, but lots of walleye in 30’FOW…?!?!??

So..... went for bass in the shallows and not a single bass either??!??

Was trolling around some shore lines of the bays and the water temps were 50F max…and what do I see swimming towards me suspended over 6’FOW? a school of crappie, I set the bobber to 6” and watched them grab the minnow….way too early in my experience to sight fish them in the shallows…another weird year is on the cards.

Yep.  We were still fishing for perch on opening day for turkeys!

And I was sight-fishing for crappies yesterday..........
