Weeds Posted May 2 Report Posted May 2 Hello Folks. I’m fortunate enough to have booked a cottage on Chandos this weekend but stupid enough to have not looked into the regs before doing so. Wasn’t really intended as a fishing weekend per se but would have been nice to maybe wet a line off the dock. It’s my understanding that it’s a fish sanctuary and allows for no fishing (cottage owner seems to think you can fish for perch but I’m not putting any faith in that) but I’m curious it that fishing ban applies to some of the surrounding small bodies of water I can see on the map. Obviously I’ll have to take a closer look at the regs. Do my own homework I suppose.
BassMan11 Posted May 2 Report Posted May 2 Hey Weeds, Fish-Online is your best tool for this stuff. Chandos is closed but there are some places around to wet a line. https://www.lioapplications.lrc.gov.on.ca/fishonline/Index.html?viewer=FishONLine.FishONLine&locale=en-CA&extent=-8689671.910911974%2C5582567.083956182%2C-8671690.10000791%2C5598370.439554121&waterbody=17-7351-49679 Have a great cottage weekend regardless.
