Starting to get requests for other ties . Some are from BC. I am always willing to try and please customer requests.

It,s a new challenge for me,but once I got rolling, it,s alot of fun.

Was on the river this morning and trying to fly fish the last tie, but the wind was brutal . There was a guy very curious on what I was using.  He was so impressed with it, he ordered 6 of them along with 6 of the pink. I was wowed.  Did not even know this guy.

Very nice as always misfish, I love the vibrant colors as I am sure the trout and salmon will as well. Congrats on your growing business. You have a very talented and good thing going. To me the biggest part is enjoying what you are doing and able to share it with others . Having said that, thank you for sharing it with us.

Thanks for the comments all . I  really like working with something new . Gets the brain waves al giddy . I bought a lot box of fly tying stuff . Some stuff was old and useless, but,  there was this interesting vise with an adapter on it . Research and low and behold,it,s for tube flys . Search the box and there are some supplies and 2 rod needles . So youtube I go . I only have limited supplies, but managed to come up with my first go of a tube fly. Reverse palmer .There is a  Canadian company that sells supplies . Looking forward to another adventure . Can always teach an old dog new tricks .20241102_103840.jpg20241102_103721.jpg20241102_103729.jpg

About 3 or 4 years ago I started receiving emails from a so called company in Africa trying to get me to buy their so called high quality trout flies at a very reasonable price. They sent me very long letters why I should buy from them, but no pictures of course. Eventually I asked how they got my email etc. and they said from a fly shop here in Calgary, so right away I suspected a scam as I do frequent the fly shops but with the exception of one for guiding services they don't have my personal information. Of course they wanted my banking information. Man, what next.

So, good on you Brian. Bad news travels fast and good news obviously get's around as well.

When you eventually find your way down here Brian (hopefully with Ryan), you're going to need to bring a large selection for me to peruse through.  ;)

Not sure if someone was attempting to scam you or not....but some of the largest fly tying factories in the world are in Kenya. Their products are found in fly fishing shops across North America.

Thank you very much for that Rick, I had no idea, having been through identity theft I was afraid to pursue it farther.
