MadJack
If you do NOT own your own boat, and rent a boat and motor from the lodge at which you stay for a week, do you need to have such a card/license ? I've heard different answers from different sources. . . anyone have the definitive answer?
lew
As far as I understand it, the owner of the lodge/camp can give you a small test and if you pass he can issue a temporary license while your there...but things may have changed. irishfield
You need either a card or a renters check list filled out and signed by the renting outfit. Note that many lodges and resorts will no longer do the renters check list due to the liability it alludes to. I can state 100% that you need a boaters card at Manitoulin Resort.
