DanD
Here's what I started with and in my imagination of what to make with this jumble of parts? LOL This vid is what came of it. Will it catch fish; I have no idea? But it was fun to build. LOL Dan. Edited January 4, 2021 by DanD
Terry
I think it’s cool and I see no reason why it wouldn’t work
Fisherman
Well amazon has them for a ridiculous price of $99. https://www.amazon.ca/Automatic-Jigging-Holder-Fishing-Hooksetter/dp/B0819186HG

LOL Saw the price and beat it by 90% not including time spent. It's a toy I want to try and play with. Dan.
DanD
Still running 3 hours since posting the vid, and running on a battery 3/4s worn down. Kind of like that Bunny thing that never stops? LOL Dan.
ketchenany
nice one Dan. Could be a “social distancing” apparatus on Simcoe. Call it covfish.
smitty55
Pretty neat rig Dan. The one thing I would be worried about is the wear on the rod itself. How does it look after 3 hours?
ketchenany
Some smooth velcro on the arm would solve that.
misfish
I wonder what will happen if you get a good hit when the rotator is at near top center ? Will the rod snap , will the brace bend ? Yes, wear would be an issue. Maybe some hockey tape would be an idea in that area . Cool idea.

It wore a line through the lettering on the rod. Didn't make it through or hurt the blue coating. 1 hour ago, misfish said: I wonder what will happen if you get a good hit when the rotator is at near top center ? I consider myself as a decent fisher; I just suck at catching. LOL Yes tape will be added to the wear line. Thanks for the comments and suggestions. Dan.
