lew
Picked myself up a simple Canon Point & Shoot camera today and thought I'd buy a spare battery for it and couldn't believe they want $75 for it. I checked several camera shops in the area and they're all basically the same price. Crazy stuff for sure.
BillM
Lew, you can buy an offbrand from Amazon.ca. Just search the model # NB-13L and you'll have a bunch of choices. https://www.amazon.ca/DSTE-Replacement-Battery-PowerShot-Digital/dp/B00VLNHLE8/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=nb-13l+battery&qid=1606430264&sr=8-5 Edited November 26, 2020 by BillM

lew
Thanks boys, but I read some reviews on those Amazon knock-offs and it seems as if they don't work well in the camera but I'll look into the ones you linked to.

These are the ones I got made in Japan so not the chicom stuff. they have the same power specs and last just as long as the original Canon ones. https://www.amazon.ca/Wasabi-Power-Battery-Canon-NB-13L/dp/B00VXO5B56 Also has a 3 year warranty.
