hutch4113 Posted July 8, 2020 Report Share Posted July 8, 2020 Hi Everyone, I am thinking of upgrading my HDS5 Gen 2, to a 7 model - Probably just a Gen3 in the same line. My question though is on the Transducer, and if I would have to change that out to go to the next model. I also have a LSS1. If anyone can assist, let me know. Thanks in advance. aplumma Posted July 8, 2020 Report Share Posted July 8, 2020 The Lss1 series is very old technology and it will limit what your new unit can show you if you decide to use it. Basically your new system will not be as good an upgrade as you hope for. This is an adapter that MIGHT make it work with https://www.solidsignal.com/pview.asp?p=000-11040-001 I would upgrade the unit 100 percent with the correct transducer rather than spend 100 bucks for the adapter and then having a limited upgrade.
