The second generation is noteworthy, first generation salmon hybrids are really fairly common. I believe there have been a few instances of Splake successfully reproducing as well. Best friend growing up lives on the river not far downstream from the dam on Lake Cowichan, he and his grandson were busy transferring fingerlings from isolated pools to the main river during a drought this summer.
