anyone know much about the carburetor on these? does it need crankcase pressure to run the carb? It is a mikuni carb

Do yourself a favor.  Push the bike into a field and light it on fire.  They are total heaps that will barely run when it's cold out.  I should know I had one and I hated every minute of owning it!

The fuel pump works off of pulses in the crank case. If you’re not getting any fuel flow, it could be the pump has a rupture diapham , or the crankcase seals are shot.

Yep Suzuki engines and it’s the only bad zuke I’ve ever come across.  No amount of  carb rebuilding, cleaning or fiddling with it would get it running right.  POS!!! And I’m a big zuke fan, so it’s hard for me to say it!

I have tha same machine and its always run fine.. it likes to be warm before its idles smoothly... following this because mine needs a carb rebuild after sitting for the last 3 years..
