spincast
beauty shots, owls are the ones we struggle to capture - we have pair a saw whet's that call to each other most nights but finding them in the day has proven impossible so far

misfish
If you want loons and mallards and divers, there are tons here right now. I didn't have the camera. It was cool to see the different clans. The loners would work their way into them and do the rituals, then become a member. Even watched a loon fly low right through the hoard of fowl. Never hit one. I was amazed. Owls are the coolest.

Jon
Great pics. Barred Owls are cool. Looking for saw-whets at eye level is a great approach but the last one I saw a couple of weeks ago was about 30 feet up a conifer. It was only found because someone heard a woodpecker alarm call and went to investigate.
