I got this answer from the MNR years ago for the same question....

 

If anglers accidentally catch a fish out of season they have to release that fish immediately. Therefore, they are not allowed to keep it while taking pictures.

If I am fishing walleye in 2 zones eq. 8 and 10 am I allowed 6 fish in my possession as long as I don't keep more than 4 from 1 zone. Thanks
