KraTToR Posted June 29, 2016 Report Posted June 29, 2016 I don't have much experience fishing LM bass so I'm Heading to Rice next week to specifically target Largies. Not looking for your special "honey holes" just info on patterns/colours that work on this lake and the Ottonobee river. I really enjoy this type of fishing so I would like to hone my skills. I'll be rigged to Punch, Flip, Pitch, Frog, etc. PM me if you don't want the world to know...lol TIA! Patrick.
grimsbylander Posted June 29, 2016 Report Posted June 29, 2016 Will you be prefishing or is this your prefishing?

Beans Posted June 30, 2016 Report Posted June 30, 2016 I used to like anchoring at the mouth of the river and casting a tube, senko or plastic of your choice into the wash of the big boats as they leave the river and stir up the bottom...
misfish Posted June 30, 2016 Report Posted June 30, 2016 Will you be prefishing or is this your prefishing? Oh, that was good.

Fisherpete Posted July 1, 2016 Report Posted July 1, 2016 25 largies (biggest 3) and 1 smallie (3.5) today in 3 hours throwing Senkos. Colour didn't matter
Smokercrafty Posted July 1, 2016 Report Posted July 1, 2016 25 largies (biggest 3) and 1 smallie (3.5) today in 3 hours throwing Senkos. Colour didn't matter Not that good a result, but I found the same thing today.... all my fish came on wacky rigged senkos. The rain eventually pushed us off the lake.
ecmilley Posted July 3, 2016 Report Posted July 3, 2016 SATURDAY cold front and wind pushed the fish into heavy cover, senko 1 fish all day but were getting them on rage craws rodents and jackal cover craws pitched into heavy cover and worked slooooow
ONbuckhunter Posted July 5, 2016 Report Posted July 5, 2016 Dark Coloured swim jig, and a dark coloured spinner. Pitch till you puke, and work weed flats with a spinnerbait or a swimbait and you should run across some buckets. The lake is full of them. Its mostly a smallmouth lake but still lotsa big buckets all over the lake.
