At the beginning of the day, I hooked up immediately and it looked like it was going to be a stellar day. However, the action for me was all within the first hour. And I mean rip it so it's sister can feel it! HH I usually do give them a good rip but these times I took it that since they had smacked it pretty hard while I was reeling up, it would suffice... Sterling Posted March 2, 2016 Report Share Posted March 2, 2016 (edited) On the 2nd catch I was losing it over here going "HE HAS A FISH ON THE LINE BEHIND HIM!!!!" then I kept watching . PS I noticed you're not really setting your hooks. My philosophy has always been to set the hook really hard but this of course depends on the type of fish. Did you use the ice transducer or just the one come with the unit? This year I haven't go up for laker and white fish yet, still worry about the ice. Most of the time I'm using a M or MH, but that day I was using a ML only and that didn't have enough backbone to really set it... No excuses! JMO You want a video of great hook sets and landed fish, you need to pay your cast more. Im sure Mike and Anthony were holding out for a better lunch venue them micky D,s.
