Recommended Posts

Wow Great job Dave !!!! a view to die for !!!

Keep em coming !!!

Thanks EH!!! :)

So when is the official opening and are we invited? We could bring the ribbon to cut!!!

PFFFFT!!! Bring RUM!!! Ribbons are for rhythmic gymnastics!!!! :tease::tease::tease:

Heck of a spot and I do expect a tour next summer...you KNOW I will be there

Just let me know when you're coming up. ;)

what's the view down to the dock like from your bedroom window.. man that looks like a slice of heaven.

View from the bed room to dock isn't. You can see it from the living room and should get a heck of a view from the loft.

The place is really coming along beautifully Dave and thanks for the constant updates with pictures, it's always very interesting to follow the progress on a job like this.

No problem Lew. More pics tonight. B)

Took longer than anticipated but got the big section 12'X16' of wall raised and the rest of the wall ready to go up. Ran into a couple of snags with my home made wall jack and had to do a little onsite re-engineering. Got er up single handed though.

Dave, no one says you have to build a wall all in one pc. Figure what you can lift by yourself and do it a pc at a time. I've even joined window/door openings this way just put in the header afterwards. Saves on all the wall jack building although you waste a little more aspenite. I've built everything but the roof by myself on some 2000 + sq and that's how I managed to keep a good pace. And yes it looks great everyone here is extremely jealous I'm sure. Now if only I could find a decent paying job up that way that I only work 3 days but get paid for a full week.

There are great paying jobs here, but the mine jobs are usually 2 weeks on 2 weeks off.

Which ain't too bad. You get a 2 week holiday every month!!! :D

Got the 16' section of the South wall ready to raise today.

Should have finished it but neighbour came over and we yakked for too long.

Took him out fishing after dinner for 3 hours and I managed an 8# troot right @ the end after each of us missing a couple.

Bonked it and neighbour and I are going to have it for dinner tomorrow with some BBQ'd caribou.

Arctic surf and turf!!! :good: :good:
