Dave Bailey Posted August 24, 2014 Report Posted August 24, 2014 (edited) Wow, those are giants! Davidson, W. Bay CitySpecs : 285x44x19 2037g 1916nDate of loss : 1917, Oct 18Place of loss : Near BuffaloLake : ErieType of loss : stormLoss of life : noneCarrying : ?Detail : She was lost from tow of the steamer MARUBA in a gale, went ashore and broke up. One of the largest wooden vessels ever builtNearly lost in a storm near Eagle Harbor, Mich, Nov 3, 1900. Glad you had the sonar to find it. Would be a shame if you didn't know it was there, dropped an anchor on it, and caused more damage. Not like it's going to be salvaged, but still a shame to wreck a wreck.
