Fisherman Posted November 18, 2013 Report Posted November 18, 2013 For those who wish to take care of their batteries, P/A has the CTEK battery maintainers coming on a decent sale starting tuesday, 2 models.
BillM Posted November 18, 2013 Report Posted November 18, 2013 My battery maintenance starts and finishes with me plugging in my onboard charger, lol. So much nice then hauling those things out of the boat.

BillM Posted November 18, 2013 Report Posted November 18, 2013 Bill, Do you leave the batteries on the charger all winter ? Is this okay for the batteries ? Yup, all winter. Once charged my Guest onboard charger goes into maintenance mode and will trickle charge them when needed.
Ron Posted November 18, 2013 Report Posted November 18, 2013 I find it best to just use the boat on a biweekly basis during the winter months. Saves on fuel stabilizer and such.

Ron Posted November 19, 2013 Report Posted November 19, 2013 What do you use it for...blowing snow with a big big prop... LOL There is always open water somewhere in Ontario. Last year, we hit the Niagara on a regular basis if we weren't on Simcoe ice fishing.
