Center Island Tomorrow

Was thinking about heading to Center Island for pike. Is there any point of wearing hip waiters there? I've only taken the ferry to center island. I see the ferry leaves earlier to Hanlans point and Wards island, any decent places to fish over there? Not looking for anyones personal spots, just asking if its worth exploring.

They aren't essential, but I've found a couple spots on the big canal where you can go out a little ways in them. In most cases though you can cast clear across the canals. Good luck!

im hoping to head out there saturday, if i can walk properly by then... damn knee surgery! never been there before, i'll be looking forward to a report
