Why are there so many lakes named Little Lake?!!! lol. What happened to originality when towns were naming these lakes way back in the day? And why didn't they think about the future when we'd all be on the internet discussing lakes and getting confused about which one we were referring to in forum discussions?!! There is a series of lakes north of Algonquin named Christopher Robbin, Pooh, Tigger, Kanga, Roo, Piglet and Owl Lake. I always thought that was funny. I would say I have seen the name Long Lake several times as well... Interesting question. I once fished on Wabatongushi Lake (sp?) its near Wawa. I was told it translated to "no-fish lake".
