Been there done that Chris, and i know absoluetly how you feel.Only another dog lover can understand the emptiness.Take the time to mourn, then go get another.It will help fill the void in your heart. Take all the time you need before you start a new one - that's the best advice I can give you. There is no better place to bury a good dog than in the heart of his owner. There will be a time when you can think of all the good times you had with Arnie and it will bring a smile to your face.
