JustinHoffman Posted June 2, 2011 Report Posted June 2, 2011 Hello All, Thought I'd share some images I shot this week at my folks place out in the countryside. With the boat hooked up and ready to hit the water, I couldn't resist taking thirty minutes of time first to shoot these fascinating creatures... The outdoors sure are pretty cool! Check out the rest of the images at my blog: http://justinhoffmanoutdoors.wordpress.com/2011/06/02/portrait-of-a-dragonfly/ Four days of work then back on the water - will have some reports up then.. Good Fishing, Justin
Terry Posted June 2, 2011 Report Posted June 2, 2011 nice pics of the dragonfly I don't usually follow links to other sites but you are a good contributor here, so I did and now I am glad I did thanks
Dave Bailey Posted June 3, 2011 Report Posted June 3, 2011 LOVE dragonflies! They are just about the best mosquito control too, we need more of them.
misfish Posted June 3, 2011 Report Posted June 3, 2011 LOVE dragonflies! They are just about the best mosquito control too, we need more of them. Funny you say that. When up at pops and mudders, pop will say the dragons are out,and then mudder comes out. She hates biteing bugs, she is thankful when the dragons come out. Great shot and blog Justin. Truely enjoyed.
JustinHoffman Posted June 4, 2011 Author Report Posted June 4, 2011 Thanks for the kind comments, guys....much appreciated. Yes, they are definitely interesting creatures. That same dragonfly must have taken off and landed on that same perch a good two dozen times - and he was chomping on a new bug each time he came back. Surprising how much they probably eat.. Love your blog also, Brandon - some amazing stuff you shoot! Cheers, Justin
