lake erie walleye help?

hi everyone, i am going to be fishing lake erie this week and its the first time im going there, I am thinking to launch out of port dover, is that a good place to fish? and also what is working better now for walleyes? spinners or cranks? any help will be appricated.

Can't help you with Port Dover as I have never been there......but walleyes have been biting pretty good on watermellon colored wormharness behind Dipsey Divers.
