lew Posted March 5, 2007 Report Posted March 5, 2007 If any of you folks are just leaving home and plan on going across the Gardner, it was just reported that it's closed both ways between Yonge & Spadina because of large sheets of ice blowing down from the CN Tower This'll be another traffic nightmare
Guest mistyriver1 Posted March 5, 2007 Report Posted March 5, 2007 It's days like today that I'm sure retirement is all that much sweeter, eh Lew
lew Posted March 5, 2007 Author Report Posted March 5, 2007 You got that right Jim, the only traffic jam I ever see is on the morning news on TV
Blake Posted March 5, 2007 Report Posted March 5, 2007 Maybe one day they will clear this mess up once and for all.
Hooked Posted March 5, 2007 Report Posted March 5, 2007 Yeah, I seen on the news the size of these sheets coming down, wow, they are huge. Easily can cause severe damage, or death. Hopefully they can figure out something because this appears to be happening every year.
ketchenany Posted March 5, 2007 Report Posted March 5, 2007 We are in the process of rebranding the CN tower from the "Tallest free-standing structure" to "the world's tallest popsicle"
Nemo Posted March 5, 2007 Report Posted March 5, 2007 Some footage from City TV here. http://www.citynews.ca/news/features_8415.aspx
