Fishing trip in a week to QC. Should we buy our beer in ON or QC? I'm always trying to avoid being taxed to death. Merci

It's considerably cheaper in QC.

Wait 'till you get there.

It's even better if you have a costco membership.....I think they had a deal which was something like 50 something beers that came in it's own cooler bag for about $100....

yes beer is cheaper in Quebec

Generally speaking, wine and spirits are slightly cheaper in Ontario. Gas is usually ten cents a litre cheaper in Ontario but beer is cheaper in Quebec. You don't have to go to Costco to get a deal on beer. Most grocery/convenience stores have their own specials. The regular price for 24 bottles of Old Milwaukee here is $22 and change. I pay 28 and change, returns and taxes in.

Theres a gas station in Tamiskaming we always stop at to get our beer before heading into the bush(kipiwa sec). We get our licences there as well and the great specials on beer. 24 cans of coors light for 24 bucks. Thats popular with the guys. This place even has a good selection of cigars. Cohibas, Monte Cristos etc. A cool little store. :clapping:

UHHHHHH No!!! It's not.

You can come up here to the NWT and you will see that in fact that beer is a little more $$$ up here. Ok it's a lot friggin' more. Try $65 a two four!!!!!! :wallbash::wallbash::wallbash:

Hey there,   Lately I have been throwing alot of topwater frogs, i don't have a boat so i fish this spot very often, and i was wondering if they can get accustomed to seeing the same frog over and over knowing that it's a lure. Because when i started to fish topwater at this spot the fish would just come up and kill the thing over and over, now i can hardly get a blowup. Just wondering if they do that or if any of you have had this happen. I was thinking of getting a different type of

    • Quebec Trip Report

Just got back from our 5 day trip to Lac Dassarat in Quebec. There were about 16 of us this year. Started out with one of the guys having his car smashed in a pile up the Friday before we were leaving; he persevered though and was able to still make it. We made the 6.5 hour trek, with the final 1/2 hour being on a very rough road. We limped in with a flat tire from a puncture. Thankfully the owner of the resort had all the tools to plug it; my buddy ended up putting the spare on to be safe for t

    • Question for the O/B Motor guys - Thinking of upgrading

I have a chance to pick up a bigger motor for my boat.   I just want some advice on prices, and reliability.  Hopefully I can get some input here.    Here's a quick history.  I run an old 14 Aluminum.  It is deep and wide, and at one point in it's like (before modification), it was rated for a 40Hp.  For a long time, I ran a 1983 25Hp Evinrude, and it would scream across the lake.   But the 83 was really hard on gas.  I got an opportunity of purchase a 1987 Evinrude 9.9 from a good fri

    • Shallow or Deep for those eyes?

Water levels have dropped 6 inches in the last week on Pigeon. Still 12 inches above summer levels.  Season opens Saturday. I always struggle in May.  The June pattern of rip jigging weeds doesn’t work for me early season.  What’s your approach going to be?

    • TV question...NF

Hey guys, I bought a new TV this morning and also got a surge protector but have never seen this type before with the connectors on the bottom for cable/sat IN & OUT My satellite cable currently comes from the dish, thru the wall and hooks into the back of my BELL receiver. With this protector do I run from the dish into the "IN" connector then out the "OUT" and then to the receiver ?? If so I'll need to get another length of cable.
