Lunatic Posted July 24, 2009 Report Share Posted July 24, 2009 I have some friends camping there with their family for the week next week and ive thought about stopping in for a visit and to get some fishing done. Anyone fished there or camped there? On the website it says it has bass,walleye and pike. any area hot spots i should be looking at? what baits are you using and what technic? any info would be helpful and greatly appreciated. thanks. lickmyarmpit Posted July 25, 2009 Report Share Posted July 25, 2009 Just below the dam there is lots of smallies, try jigs and worms. but be prepared for some battle fishing its not the most unknown of fishing spots and tends to get really crowded on weekends. Rich Posted July 25, 2009 Report Share Posted July 25, 2009 Hit the deep spots, current breaks and eddies... spinners, jerkbaits, crankbaits, grubs.. all work depending on the day. Lots of little river smallies to be caught in that area and though I've never done well there are some walleye to be caught.
