Ever seen a Bass like this?

Recommended Posts

Just found this picture on Dootalk, someone caught this, no idea what happened to it. Kinda looks like it swam into something. Haha.

oh yeah I read about bass that looks like that

it's a type of poison in their flesh, it deforms their head but doesn't hurt them otherwise

how the meat is deadly to humans

I'm curious to ask how this fish tasted assuming it was eaten judging by the slit belly?

"edit typo on the eaten part"

Like I said, I did not catch it, I grabbed the picture from Dootalk. He's from Michigan, so I will assume that's where it was caught.

I've caught a couple of bass where there entire upper lip has been torn off. On the one, it looked similar with the flesh all healed up around the mouth.

If you look close, the fish is aucautlly not cut.. Its laying on top of a Pike Filet

As for the problem.. I think it might have the Jay Leno Syndrome... lol

The fish looks scared to death.

Must have been one ugly fisherman who caught it.

Hi there, Just wondering if any of you are having this problem, or if this is just a common thing, It's been perfect frog fishing weather here lately so i decided to tie on a frog, i had never caught a bass on a topwater frog before, so casted it out there over by a rocky wall with some vegetation just walking it back to the bank, about 10 casts in or so BAM! something came up and smacked it, the adrenalin hit me, i set the hook, and reeled in a nice little pickerel, i was so happy. But to

Hey there,   Lately I have been throwing alot of topwater frogs, i don't have a boat so i fish this spot very often, and i was wondering if they can get accustomed to seeing the same frog over and over knowing that it's a lure. Because when i started to fish topwater at this spot the fish would just come up and kill the thing over and over, now i can hardly get a blowup. Just wondering if they do that or if any of you have had this happen. I was thinking of getting a different type of

    • Getting that big bass?

Hi all. I have a friend with a cottage on a private lake just north of Bancroft. It's a small lake full of largemouth and every year he sends out a pic of his big catch which looks to be around 7lbs. I only get up there once a year and have good success on senko's and scum frog's in the morning, however these have been more in the 3-4lb range. I'm hoping to target one of the trophy size fish, so my question is.....what lure and technique do you suggest for that big bass? I went to Cabela's and t
