The lake you're staying on is the most likely place to start. Any idea what the name of that lake is? Welcome aboard, by the way :)

I was i parrysound on the weekend.

I took a kid fishing that has only ever caught sunfish and perch.

I asked him how many fish he wanted to catch, He smiled and said he' be happy with 5...ok off we go and find a shoal.

40 minutes later the boy has landed 5 of the biggest lakers he's ever seen....the smile on his face was from ear to ear.....Thats what fishing is all about.

Cross the bay to haybay and you will be into a lot of pike.

I have never really owned a high quality reel in my life.  The best one I own is a Shimano Symetre for my ice rod.   I have 2 of those Abu Specialist combos that go on sale a CT for 70% off a few times a year.   One is beat up pretty bad, specially since my 6 year olds have been learning to cast with it the last few years.    All of the being said, I have a birthday in October, and have decided to ask the family for no presents, just cash this year.  A good chunk of that mone

    • carp fishing kawartha lakes/London area.

Hello, thanks for letting me join. I’m from England but I’m coming out to Canada, Ontario for 2 weeks in September. It’s not a fishing holiday but some fishing will definitely be happening. Has anyone got any advice on areas I should visit to try and catch a better carp as when I was out before caught lots of smaller ones so wanted to try and get one over 20lb! Also advice on what licences I need would be great. we are staying a few days in London, then travelling to the kawartha lakes area

    • Fishing the Yukon June 2019

We have been to the Yukon several times but Alaska was new. My wife Leslie, hurt her back on an ATV ride in to a remote lake so that stopped fishing for about a week. We only fished together 2 days of the nine days in the Yukon. She insisted I do an overnighter alone so I got an extra two days in. Climate change is messing things up...they only had four inches of snow all winter and most of that was in April. One lake was so low that most of the pike habitat was dry

    • Kingston area eastern Lake Ontario salmon/trout fishing

I used to run 27' boat out of Whitby trolling for Lake Ontario salmon and rainbow trout each summer, and I have been missing it. I moved just north of Kingston a dozen years ago and have concentrated on back lakes bass since then. When I was in Whitby, I could tell you exactly what week the salmon would appear, in what locations and at what depth the best fishing would be. Seldom got skunked if the fish were around. I am thinking of upgrading my 14' tin boat to something that could han
