miss_ub84
I have a 93 evinrude 8 hp motor, and when changing the oil in the gearcase, I tightened the lower screw (that goes in on a 45 degree), andnow it dosent tighten, it just keeps spinning. (The screw is ok, just the threads that are in the lower unit) How can I fix this? Will a "form-a-thread" type epoxy work? Or is there something else I should try? Please help! Thank-You!! ohhenrygsr
Your either gonna have to re tap the hole or put a helicoil in
Bondar
yea heli coil, or go to a size bigger plug and re drill and re tap same idea but a heli coil will probably be better in the long run
