OhioFisherman Posted February 5, 2007 Report Posted February 5, 2007 Don`t waste time trying to catch your own!
Bernie Posted February 5, 2007 Report Posted February 5, 2007 Cant say as I have ever tried them in winter. They are a little hard to come by here. But thats all I use in summer so why not winter ?
Sherriff Posted February 5, 2007 Report Posted February 5, 2007 We had a bunch last weekend on Callendar. Nothing on worms, not even a bite. Everything we managed was on minnows. When we go up for the May opener, that's all the eyes will take is worms. Not sure I understand walleye.... Sherriff
bigfish1965 Posted February 5, 2007 Report Posted February 5, 2007 Dew worms are cold blooded. When immersed in the cold water they will shrivel into a little ball. No movement..nothing. Like leeches, they are better suited for use in warm water.
Rich Posted February 5, 2007 Report Posted February 5, 2007 Bring some boiled elbow macaroni, just in case.
