  1. I will be the first to admit that I am not a walleye specialist and definitely not an expert Over a bunch of trips i have gotten to a place where I have 5 confidence baits that I would be pretty comfortable as my only lures (caveat would want different colors and backups lol) This is a far cry for our first trips where we brought everything but the kitchen sink Blog is up now at northernjacks.com Cheers Andrew
  2. Looking for some recommendations on a good drop shot rod between $150-300 . I have a St.Croix Avid X which I have been using but is a little heavy and I want a designated drop shot rod so I don't have to keep re tying . The Avid X is an amazing rod (you can feel a fish swim by your hook) and I am leaning towards another one but just wanted to hear what you guys think and use . Anyways thanks for your advice in advance everyone.
  3. Gentlemen, I picked up a new Curado G6 6.5:1 during the spring fishing show at Bass Pro. Got a good deal, $70 off reg price, otherwise out of my price range. I am a newbie to baitcasters, but I have a Citica on a Bass Pro rod for two years. I like the baitcaster feel and use. Are there any recommendations for a general all purpose rod, preference goes to two piece for easy storage. I am also on a bit of a budget, so don't want to spend too much. Live in St Catharines, so will probably go to Petes Tackle, or Grimsby Tackle. Also will consider a used rod if anyone has a good one for sale.
