  1. No, it shouldn't fall to taxpayers. Example We all pay for curbside recycling no matter how much we put in. If you buy a case of bottled water and its $05 a bottle on top of the listed price, you have a choice to drink tap water or pay to recycle the bottle. Darn...then we need another law to recycle the bottle instead of just chucking it since you already paid extra
  2. Your taxes shouldn't pay for packaging. People should pay for recycling charges on packaging. But the people should pay out of pocket for it. That way they have a choice. Buy the fancy package and pay to recycle it, or go to the company that uses a paper bag and pay a bunch less in recycling charges. Don't hide all the charges in legislation forcing the company to pay and we don't see it to make our own choices When a company starts losing sales because of excessive packaging, then they will change, not when the government makes them pay a fee and they just pass it on and nobody knows why prices went up
  3. The producer paying for packaging? My job is to set prices for what the company produces. We do not pay for any recycling or environmental costs. Example We do a lot of shipping and the shipping bills come with a fuel surcharge. I do not just charge for shipping and eat the fuel surcharge. I bill for it and also put a markup on it. If there is an environmental charge, it gets marked up and charged for. The customer pays it, not the company. And we make a profit on it. If these charges get too high, people will stop buying the product, (if at all possible, can't do that with electricity). If that happens the company closes and people that work there are out of work. Do not think for a minute that the company pays for anything. They just hide it for the government.
  4. When the agenda is to have the population consolidated into one area that happens. Companies get incentives to locate in the GTA so people have no choice but to live there. We had a thread on here a while back asking why people live in such crowded conditions and yes, it was only because thats where the work is. But nobody really liked it. Why else would they move to Barrie and commute for 2 hours every day. What would be the problem with incentives for companies to locate elsewhere. The problem is, it would be against Kathleen McGuintys program
  5. Kathleen just thinks that if you drink then you don't recycle unless there is a buck in it for you liquor CONTROL board
  6. I didn't say can't. You do understand that part of the Mcwynne plan is to have everybody in the city to save on infrastructure right? They are encouraging everybody to live in the city, not saying they can't
  7. Then stop jaming 4 million people into the GTA just to save a few bucks on infrastructure, especially when we are running a deficit to enhance infrastructure spending
  8. We aren't killing 500,000 a year, they are. We are neutral with all the trees we have to help clean things up. We still need to help, but we don't need to go broke doing it
  9. I never said do nothing, I said slow down on the doing till we can better afford it...we already spent all and more than we can, now its time to build a bit of capital so we can do more again later, and when others start doing their share so we all afford it the same way Maybe Trudeau should have done a bit more work in Paris

Don't put it past the government..look at Scarborough now. People living there for 50 years..hey, we need the land your house in on...get out.
  11. Really, thats kinda slow fishing, unless they were all really big. We see walleye tournaments that get better than 95% survival rates after weigh in. If that doesn't bother a fish I don't know what does
  12. Please read a bit closer. Coal use is down because the economy is tanking due to the oversupply they caused. a 34% increase in wind power means they had 50 wind turbines and built 17 more 74% increase in solar means they had a small farm and built another a bit smaller. I see no real numbers in there, just hype. Ontario has closed ALL of its coal fired plants and replaced them with NG, solar and wind. We are currently building hydro plants on every little river that can support it, viable or not and whether the locals want it or not, see Bala falls. This government still doesn't care what the people want, they are just following their agenda. Our power rates have quadrupled in the last 10 years and are going higher. I say we are now an example of what should be done and the rest should do a bit of catching up before we bankrupt ourselves to set an even better example of how not to do it
  13. On my HDS you have to tell the machine the model number of the transducer. There should be a tag on it and you pick from a list in the meneu

Sinker I believe only Until it gets to your house, then you can skin it and freeze it. In camp or for transport it needs skin. They are only asking the question to catch you up, they aren't going to your house to check. Once you admit to over limit its ticket time...tell the judge you didn't mean it Mr manitou, we eat fresh fish because we can go get em pretty much any day.some people have to stock a freezer which is totally illegal. And I wish all status card holders were as considerate
