Last weekens I took the kids out for a first trip. Needed downrigger mounting spots. I grabbed a bit of stainless steel from work and had the guys cut and bend it for me. Then took it home and marked, drilled, and polished it with an orbital sander. They came out pretty nice. I think I should scrape the green paint off the mounts from the previous boat. I didn't want to add any holes and they fit right where the cleats were so I just matched the holes. I went with 1/8 thick rather than 1/4 so I could even use the same bolts.

I got it a week or so ago and finally got some pictures. First the old one. She was a good rig.

How else could you tell somebody where something was. just past Kabinakagami lake ...on the left. maybe he thinks they should take down all the library and skating rink signs too. Gotta be dumb not to know its a skating rink.

I don't think you can purchase a licence for an under 18 can you? And why would you want to. Donate some money to a conservation outfit first. Under 18 fishes without a license with the same rights and responsibilities as an over 18 license holder. If he gets a big one, you can't reel it in for him. License or not

And the spring bear hunt was only stopped in southern Ontario I was going to say, just let the guys that know set the limits, but then i thought of the bear hunt. I prefer not to give the idiots any ideas

Any chance of you guys keeping all these great ideas south of the french river. We have to put up with enough of your goofy overpopulated southern Ontario laws already. The people I know that go fishing 3 or 3 times a week and catch a few fish for a meal, go to lakes that will support the pressure. If they won't, they go to a different lake. Don't make laws based on your fishing pressure for us to follow. Please don't give that stupid government any more good ideas. Wait..I got one...how bout you have to register all the fish you catch and pay a new tax on them. A dollar for each fish caught and kept, 2 dollars for each released fish.

I suppose we could just pay a few more dollars in taxes for them to pay to have that book made and kept up to date for every darn thing made and resold eh. How bout they just take the taxes on it once when it gets sold new and not every time it changes hands. They could lay a bunch of people off and save likely more than they ever take in tax. these government guys think there is no end to the amount they can take from us for their pet projects. I'm getting tired of it.
