  1. Hey Mike the Pike,

Funny you mention Myth busters, the other day, they were comparing the tail gate effect on 2 identical trucks...........the truck that had the tailgate up travelled 30 more miles than the one who had it down. Turns out, there's a cushion of air that forms in the bed when the tailgate is up which allows the incoming air to flow much easier.

  2. I wonder if the Ma and Pa shops deal with distributors? If so, would it not be possible to bypass them altogheter, and pass on the savings to the consumer? Last year I bought a CMC power tilt and trim unit for my boat . Everyone I contacted quoted me $700 + tax + shipping. It was a Ma and Pa shop that came through for me! I saved close to $200!!!!! But what blowed me away, was when I went to pick it up, I noticed the bill was $ 20 less then the price we had agreed. I asked why? He said it came in cheaper than what he quoted me so he passed on the savings to me!!!

  3. What I've doing is bringing about 6 to 8 new lures and alternating them for about 6 hours. I continue into early afternoon and if I still haven't caught anything, then I'll switch to my go to lures which are jointed Believers, black and brown spinnerbaits, Reefhawgs.

  4. So true RivRat! The Japanese view their bottom line as satisfying a need! Remember the old saying: find something you're good at and the $$$ will follow?

Even that GM is a publicly traded company, they’re backed by the U.S Government, they know it and the Unions know it, that explains why they are indifferent about their products ……….If their stock was doing well, like my Bank stock which tripled in the last 15 years……one could say well I’m making money with their stock!! But that‘s another topic……bring on the service charges .

True, Dan…….we saw it with the GM 283. The power train has to be bullet proof, and the vehicle safe. Everything else is of no consequence.

  5. The big 3 U.S auto maker are haemorrhaging, and it's only going to get worse..........Baby boomers are the major spenders and they will be inheriting billions of dollars in the next few years..........will a domestic vehicle be their first choice? The big 3 should reconsider their marketing approach since they been giving consumers what they wanted and not what they needed. We are now seeing how the big 3 have fallen behind in the car market and we will be reminded again in 5 years when it happens to the truck market.
