  1. It has!

Lot's of new stuff happening to me. Changed careers. Working more than ever but I wished I got into this 30 years ago!

ago. My kids are almost grown up. Both made honour rolls which really makes me question if they are really mine!

But that aside how's everybody doing here?

  2. Check the gas line inside the cover of the motor. Start right where you plug the tank line in and check for leaks. Work your way to the carb. All it takes is a small pin hole for your motor to stop sucking gas. If you have to squeeze the bulb to keep the motor running it means your line is sucking air somewhere. I would just change that line or at the very least change the connections. These lines should be replaced every couple of years.

  3. I'se still be checking in!

I've also been very busy. Tournament fishing is finally over and took it's toll on me. After 6 years the tournament I co-founded (but now single director) is the biggest live release tournament in the Thunder Bay area and also involved with the organization of two others.

I still have me full time job of twenty years and have been working part time at DnR Sporting Goods. We just had 7 Golden Retriever (9 were born though) puppies. My two kids are really growing and I'm proud to say my daughter fished an AYA event with me this year.

My wife is pretty much healed from her broken leg (5 places when the female retriever ran her over)

Other than that I have time for one meal a day and a bath once a week whether I need it or not!

  4. Hey Guys!

    Raheem McHindu! The Bald Bass.....d!

Yup I got it shaved yesterday. I just hope the kid who gets my hair doesn't mind getting gray hair in it!

This is the 2nd time I have done this and it's great. The only difference is I did it in the winter this time and I don't know how you bald guys make it in the winter. Hell I just learned you just can pull a toque off with stubble on your head. Dam velcro!

Clampet, I'm here every day. May not post as much but I'm here.

Rick Rick Rick........ Actually..... I think I'm frightened.... Someone hold me......

    Thanks again!

  5. If it's 9.2 pounds and caught in Ont. would that not be a record of some kind? At least some sort of Canadian line class record? I would have released it with a couple of good photos but I ain't gonna knock anyone for keeping a bass like that. dang' dream fish.

  6. I'm surprised nobody said open water.

Watch for baitfish busting the surface over very deep water (over 30 feet deep). Cast a whacky rigged senko right into the middle of the fray and hang on!

I did this last weekend and I was over 50-90 feet of water and the smallies would hit the rig with-in 3 seconds. So the rig only sank maybe 3-5 feet. I also caught 2 walleye in this fray. We call these schools of bass "wolf packs" as the bite doesn't last long. I search bait busting the surface a lot and do really well over deep water.

    Try it out.

  7. Humminbirds don't have a very good rep unless you go to the high end ones. Most problems I see is improper transducer location on a boat. Others are nicked transducer cables and bent connecting plugs. Also if you hook a finder up to a battery that is recieving a charge (outboard starting battery) you can get a lot of noise from that.

I use lowrance and have been happy with it. I have also used hummin bird (mixed feelings) garmin (ok I guess) and presidents (so so).

Here's a link to the manual.
