Thanks guys. Ill be going out with somebody who knows the area a lot. I just want to be sure ill have the right gears before making the 5hr drive, without having to bring everything (will be carpooling with a few others). I'm thinking of a ML rod, spinning setup with 8lb mono line. Think that'll do? Or should I go braid? I guess I'll bring a few small cranks, few senkos, few small spinners, jigs. Any comments?

Heading up to the French River for the first time in a few weeks for some walleye action. I've never targeted walleyes before so not sure what to use. Any tips on equipment, techniques, and lures? I'm thinking of bringing my 6' ML stcroix. Any tips will be greatly appreciated, thanks.

I want to rinse the skeins... but don't have access to any distilled water right now. What are the effects of using filtered tap water or bottled water?

Hey, I have a question regarding some old skein. I have a friend who went salmon fishing for the first time back in early September. He took home a hen since it was his first and was really excited to cure the roe and fish the runs. Long story short, he's never been out since. I asked him if he even cured the roe and he said no. If the skeins were frozen since that day do you think it'll still be good to use? If it is I might take it out of his freezer and cure it to use. Don't want to waste it. Any ideas? Thanks.
