You will... at least I did. That's why I put shoe goo when I replaced the screws. Dood, the other rivers around there were gin clear, eh? That was a nice drive we had in the morning p.-

most shoe stores, canadian tire... p.-

there's a quick and easy way to correct this by the way. some guys buy cleats, but you can actually use 1/4" aluminum screws. screw them into the felt & stick some shoe goo in there to keep them in. slippage becomes a thing of the past. p.-

Great pics! Awesome fish! Thanks for sharing p.-

Thanks for sharing Moosebunk! It was a pleasure meeting you & fishing along side you. Thanks also for sharing our communal frustration with (and awe of) Mike. Remember, there are other places closer to where you live, and I recall that we have a future engagement - hopefully with Mike and Bill again - on other waters for even bigger chromers. Great post as always! Oh, and here are a few more... I can see the discomfort on your face !!! p.-

Thanks for the compliments I did try recuva, but it wasn't able to find the missing My Pictures folder. It is a cool program though, because it's made by Piriform. All their software is good! p.- -

didn't get many good ones that trip, but I have some on tap for today's trip. I'm waiting for Solo to get back before I post them. He has good ones, too p.- -
is the hat that bad? I'm starting to get a complex... I just wanted something that wasn't cookie-cutter-ish, you know? p.-

So, as I mentioned in my previous topic/post, I was going over to Solo's to try and rescue his Hard Drive and his My Pictures file. The bad news is that I didn't have an enclosure for a SATA drive, so I couldn't scan it for lost files - i.e. the My Pictures folder couldn't be recovered (by me) . The good news is that I managed to clean it of ad-ware with Spybot. So the machine should run better now, and I think that it may have been one of the nastier bugs he had which could have caused him to lose the My Pictures folder. My recommendation: take it to the shop & have a professional scan it for lost data & possibly recover all or most of the lost pics. More good news is that I was able to scan the Solo man's camera's memory card and I managed to extract a little more than half the pictures he took last week. As he's still out and about enjoying himself, I thought I'd share a few of them with you on his behalf. He's going to have some wicked pics for you when gets back ! Here's that double header I was telling you about... (looks like Mike caught them both). Hope you enjoyed them! p.-

Nice fish Wallacio, except I think that you submitted them to cruel and unusual punishment by subjecting them to the "aroma" of that junky old vest of yours. I'm not sure that they could have survived, after their release, due to the incredible shock that proximity to that noisome piece of tattered cloth must have brought on! I'm sure it was a nice vest at one time teehee :w00t: p.-

what are you still doing up? A cap is too small, to tell the truth. I need one that fits my huge noggin. p.-

So it was high time for some R&R last week, and when Solo told me he was heading up to some Huron tribs I was immediately aware of the best cure for a headache: Oncorhynchus Ibuprofenium Mykiss. That is, Steelhead! Since I took my camera canoeing last time and had a little flotation issue (that is we capsized the canoe ), it just hasn't been the same. Miraculously, it still works - after now 2 thorough, very thorough and complete submergences - but there is an awful water spot right in the middle of the lens. In order not to see the spot, I need to point the camera away from any source of light and zoom to at least 4x. The only reason I still use it is because, at this point, it's basically disposable! I won't cry if it gets another dunking. So, in short, I left most of the photography to Solo the computer guru ( ), expecting one of his famous posts. When none came, I knew something was awry: he lost the pics! Worse: he pretty much lost all the pictures on his Hard Drive. I'm dropping by for a visit tomorrow, so hopefully I can fix it. I would go on, as it was really quite a good day. We caught the river on the rise, with seemingly more and more fish coming in as the day went on. Most of them were bright, natural fish, but we also caught a number of stocked fish - one of which, interestingly, was clipped in the dorsal fin. This one (below) isn't it. I left it up to Solo to get a picture of that one. Bill missed the highlight of the day . He left early on account of certain sections of his anatomy turning various shades of blue: he was freezing his butt off. That was no surprise, as we had a mix of precipitation that included rain, snow, ice pellets and sleet. Top it off with a howling wind, sometimes topping 40km/h, and I guess most of us who stuck it out that day watched some part of ourselves assume abnormal coloration. Less than an hour after Solo and I endeavoured to continue freezing (and catching fish) we had an awesome double header, with two sweet fish brought to the bank. There is no picture of this wonderful event, so you're just going to have to take my word for it. If my attempts at resuscitating Solo's hard drive are successful, I can hopefully prevail upon him to provide proof of the event. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the few pics I got and most of my inane blabbering. Oh yeah. No more headache: go figure!!! p.-

Count me as well. I have a child with special needs, too, and I know from experience that every little bit helps. I wish them the best of luck, as this is a wonderful project and a great idea. p.-

Makes all the difference, I agree. Not that Toskala is that bad, but the Leafs need someone who is extraordinary and it seems that the "Monster" fits the bill. That and this was the first game where I actually felt that Kulemin had a presence. Hopefully, he's going to start blossoming into the potential that Jr thought he would Gotta love the engergy guys - 4th line - getting the scoring started though. I was "coaching" wilson from my armchair to put them out right at that moment. Good thing he did! p.- -
But seriously, enough about me. What do YOU think about me? Zontar! p.- p.s. Do these waders make my legs look fat?

Well done! It's not easy to find browns out east anymore, so it's usually a pretty tricky business to get one. It takes most new anglers years to tie in to one that nice. Good for you & good luck tomorrow p.-

Attawapiskat River Adventure ~ Quest For Giant Pike

OMG It's the UNDEAD POST THAT NEVER DIES!!!! :worthy: p.- -
Great post as always, dood. Happy B day to the three year old. Cool how it's hard-coded isn't it? All you have to do is let them see fish & they instinctively gravitate. Mine are 4 in Dec and it looks like I will have one fishing buddy for sure, in years to come p.-

Thanks for sharing, Clofchik It is definitely nice to see regular people getting involved (as opposed to doorknobs like me who wait for the gov. to do everything). A focused passion outperforms money 10 time out of 10. Well done! p.- p.s. +

Nice pics Louis, thanks for sharing. I like those bridges too, as well as the rivers that flow nearby. I assume that that system's big sister was either over-invested or showing her usual "true colour"... Meanwhile, further east, ditch-side, no such thing materialised for me on Monday am. That looked like a delicious supper, too! p.-
