  1. wasn't aware of that. thanks for the heads up.
  2. Well after my skunking yesterday I had to redeem myself. I checked the forecast and saw that the rain should stop around 5. Once the rain let off I grabbed my tackle and went back to Bayfront. I started near a loading dock and circled my way down the perimeter of the park, I ended up in a location and knew there HAD to be something there. I was fixing some line I bought from crappy tire (triline - never again) on one rod when my other rod got smashed! Caught a nice steelhead, took a pic and released her. Mission accomplished, needless to say, I will return shortly!
  3. I went to Bills for the first time yesterday, great service and good hours. But if I'm heading out that way already, bass pro is hard to resist.
  4. The marlies would stand a better chance of making the offs than the Leafers. Maybe they should just switch?
  5. I recently moved to the Hamilton region and have been scoping out some fishing spots. I heard Bayfront has some pike so me and a bud decided to try it out. We purchased some minnows and off we went. We were casting out towards the private marina docks and letting our minnows drift off closer to them. We also threw out some Rapalas and reeled them in at a reduced rate. Nothing. Eventually we started doing some research on our phones and heard there may be some trout near the mouth of Grindstone Creek. We drove down there and threw some minnows out again. At one point a seagull dove down 4 feet and grabbed my minnow! I should have set the hook and put on a show for the crowd. We even headed back out to Bayfront for the "evening bite" - got peppy le peu'ed all day, not even a sniff. Can anyone give some pointers on where to locate some pike? Any information would be great. If anyone can shed some light on the trout at Grindstone that would be great too, when do they start there run and where are some decent spots to try and catch a couple? Thanks
  6. I see, are pike present in the harbour at bayfront?
  7. Hey everyone, just wondering if fishing on a 12 foot motor boat in cootes paradise was possible? I never see any boats in there but it looks like a decent spot. If you are allowed, where can you launch? Also, what types of fish are there, if any? Thanks, long time fisherman, short time member
