I fish a lot and eat fish two or three times a year. I love me a feed of cold water perch and a northern Ontario fish fry of pike or walleye and that’s it. I catch and release 90% of what I catch. Love to watch the big ones swim away! Nothing better

Walking conditions weren’t too bad, maybe 3” of snow. We had a decent day, lots of little ones with a few jumbos

You said nothing about the larger group. Only that we lied and said someone else was coming.

You said you had pics of all the damage, where are they? You are full of it! We are all experienced fisherman and respectful people, we did no damage to any hut! We did nothing wrong and you treated us like crap. I’m sure you would have been happy about packing up all your gear and moving to a smaller hut. Had you came to us and said you had a larger group coming and asked us to move, that would have been no problem. Your season has to do with how you treat people, you get what you deserve.

The big piece of styrofoam on the ground was 1/4” and the hole on the wall was 6”x9”. Your full of it bud. How did the rest of your season go. Lol. Karma is a whine!

We Booked a 6 man hut with 4 guys because the 6 man hut was still available. After an hour of fishing, he sent his worker over to collect our money. 10 mins after that, he moved us to a smaller hut and was trying to say that I lied to him about how many guys. (He understood me clearly) If he would have told us he had a bigger group coming, we would have happily moved. He then tried to blame us for damaged styrofoam in the hut. He was rude and didn’t inform us that we had to walk out to our hut. Will never go back and would recommend anyone else not to waste there going time and money going there. If it wasn’t for our 3 hour drive to get there, we would have went home after our first encounter with there head of staff. Everyone in our group has been ice fishing for years and this was the worst operator we have ever had to deal with. 

Ps. The guys fishing beside us were using pan-optics and only marked one fish in two days.

Dont waste your time and money with Gull Lake Hut Rentals or The Narrows Hut Rentals 

Looking to take my little guy for some perch, how is the parking situation any where on cooks bay? I used to go to Gilford road. Tight lines

Hey guys. I have been fishing St. John for last 20 years and have been dying to get my 9 year old son out for some ice camping. This is close enough to home, but parking has put a serious damper on this idea. I have been seriously considering dropping my stuff off at the lake and uberring from casino Rama. Any change in parking situation his year? If anyone on here is on St John, I would gladly pay you.

Did get out for a few hours today. Marked some fish, no hook ups. Weren’t there for any prime time action. Got there at 10:30, left at 1:30. It was nice to get out and explore some new ice

Gonna hit the Grande River tomorrow on a solo mission.

Hey guys. Me and a buddy are taking the kids to Bellwood tomorrow to target some pike. Have never fished there in the winter. Any advice on where to start or a depth to look for? Thanks in advance for any help

Went out of Virginia Beach yesterday, got a bunch of the kids out for a day on the hard water. Drilled through mostly 11” of black ice, one spot had 8”. First time ever getting skunked perch fish on Simcoe. Was really hoping for a good day with the kids. This was the third time I have taken my little guy out and the third time we have been skunked, not good

Anyone looked at Innisfil beach park yet?

Trout lake was amazing! If I were going back, I would want to go no where else!

Sandy Beach Lodge, on Trout lake in Red Lake Ontario. Last week of may. Our trip was delayed two weeks because there was still ice. On the flyin we saw Caribou running across the ice. We really lucked out with our guide too. One of the guides didn’t show up, so we got the retired native guide that has been fishing the lake for 40 years. There day finishes at 5, so we would rent a boat until dark. He told us where to troll and what to use and he nailed it! I could never afford this trip. Someone very close to me got a lump some of money and asked me where I wanted to go. I don’t know what it cost, but we flew from Toronto to Thunder Bay, Thunder Bay to red lake and then the next morning float plane to trout lake. 

I think I have a problem. Lol
