  1. Once the parachute is deployed, I bet that baby trolls down pretty good! HH
  2. Stay away from anything made of cotton, in the cold, cotton kills! Any nylon dress sock will whisk moisture away from the foot. A good wool sock on top and you should be good to go assuming you follow the advice above and remove the insole each night. Any boot rated for -100C is a definite asset. See the Baffin lineup. HH
  3. It's the most wonderful time of the year! HH
  4. I'm guessing you have aluminum rims. As aluminum contracts due to cold, the rim seal gives way and you have a slow leak. It's the reason I keep a tire inflator in my vehicle all year round. There are solutions, but it requires that each tire and rim be removed, the rim set needs to be thoroughly cleaned, re-painted and re-installed. It aint cheap! HH
  5. Here's a couple of tips for buying Prime Rib at Metro... Buy your roast during the first three days of their sale. Those roasts are fully aged and I have never had a tough one. If you buy after the first three days, that meat is usually not as aged as they are strapped trying to find meat, to meet the sales demand. Metro butcher told me so... Also, always "marinate" the roast. To do this properly, you need to add the spices you would normally use on the roast, plus, add an onion, two carrots and two celery stalks, place them in a food quality bag, with the roast and leave it in the fridge for two days prior to cooking. Cook the roast low and slow... HH
  6. Hey Chris, Sorry to hear about Brook, she was a beauty! Smarter then many people I have met, and better manners as well. HH
  7. I saw that as well Wayne. Your probably correct about them not being readily available for some time, but if we look at the advancements in vehicle technology, things are moving pretty fast. It's start! BTW - I think I prefer a passive beaver vs electric! I aint gettin any younger! HH
  8. Saw this on the news the other day. With limited range, around 150km per charge, I can see outfitters re-fitting their Beavers and use these on their short haul flights. It's going to make that dash to the dock on out day a little tougher as you won't hear the Beaver coming until it's on you! https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/electric-seaplane-float-plane-test-flight-harbour-air-1.5390816 HH

  11. I hope they are paying you well Big Cliff! That's not easy 5 times a week at age 73! HH
  12. I did mine on their phone system as I was not able to get the online thingy to work. It arrived within a week! HH
  13. It was 35 years ago. I still think the message carries meaning today. HH
  14. I'd have him on a bus, just to get him out of the dressing room! I have no evidence to back up that statement, but if we look back to last year and their record after Willie boy joined the team, one might be thinkin their is a pattern here. HH
  15. Used to use HotnTot on Quinte in the 90's on sunny days, blue and silver. Typically, if I am using a deep diving crank, I am using it to find active fish. I don't want to slow down to run blades, so I rarely use them. I also find that blades can attract too may non targeted fish. HH
  16. I would add a deep diving crank bait. HH
  17. Because they don't intend to wait 5 years for an opportunity to raise the fee! HH
  18. Perhaps one spot Brian, but I suspect that no one would want anything to do with it, if you kept it there!😀 HH
  19. It will be interesting to see if the current style of play will work in the spring. Right now, the Leafs are fun to watch. HH
  20. And they have boot cleats for $9.99! HH
  21. Yah, but think of how many tacos that's gonna bring? LOL My first thoughts as well... Unbelievable fish though... HH
  22. A doctor decides to make a career Change!! After 20 years of work, a successful gynecologist had become fed up with malpractice insurance and HMO paperwork, and decided that, even though this is all he knew, he would seek new career for himself. Hoping to try a career where skillful hands would be beneficial, he decided to become a mechanic, as working in a garage is always something he thought he might be good at. He went to the local technical college, signed up for evening classes, attended diligently, and learned all he could. When the time of the practical exam approached, the gynecologist prepared carefully for weeks, and completed the exam with tremendous skill. When the results came back, he was surprised to find that he had obtained a score of 150%. Fearing an error, he called the Instructor, saying, “I don’t want to appear ungrateful for such an outstanding result, but I wonder if there is an error in the grade?” The instructor said, “During the exam, you took the engine apart perfectly, which was worth 50% of the total mark. You put the engine back together again perfectly, which is also worth 50% of the mark.” After a pause, the instructor added, “I gave you an extra 50% because you did it all through the muffler, which I’ve never seen done in my entire career.” HH
